I seem to have gained a reputation with family and friends as the go to person for restoring yellowed headlights.
I use the 3M kits with drill attachment.
Over time the headlights do start to yellow again and I have been using the same drill attachment with some cutting compound and then polish to keep the headlights clear.

Would there be any advantage to using a polisher to keep on top of the lights?
If so would a DA be better or worse for this compared to a cheaper rotary action polisher?

I thought there was a need to lacquer the lights once they've been stripped back? The yellowing seems to be the original lacquer, so it gets removed, but needs to be replaced with something that performs similarly.

I have stripped most of the lacquer from my Mk1 TT lights, and they don't last very long at all before they go cloudy, I just haven't had time to lacquer them to see how much difference it makes.
