Hi, can someone please recommend me a decent (best?) quick and easy to use detailing spray and also something that is suitable to clean plastic exterior trim?

A quick look on Amazon and Gtechnik or G3 Pro get decent reviews for the detail spray and Autoglym Bumper and Trim Gel gets good review for the exterior trim. Are these all decent products or should I be looking at something else?

Cheers

Greased Lighting Showroom shine does the paint, trim, glass, rubber etc I've yet to find a better all in one.

Cheers. I wouldn't want to use it without washing the car first though yikes

I used to have one but can't remember what it was called but it was basically a spray to use after you've washed and dried your car and it simply gave it that little bit extra over just drying it.

Agreed, I always wash conventionally first comes up a treat and beads for about 6 months.

Aldi waterless wash. £2.99 a bottle. Smells nice too.

Too much snakeoil with car cleaning products (and I'm fussy and yes, it beads for months).

Meguiar's Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax Anywhere is pretty good imo. Had the Greased Lightning and it’s fine , but sprays terrible (usually ends up splattering the panel you have just waxed!) can leave a white dust also.

I’ve heard good things about this too, not tried myself.

To be honest you won’t go far wrong with the gtechniq products, they are all pretty good.

I've just used some of this on the bonnet of a black Range Rover. It looks horrendously streaky. What have I done wrong?

It’s pretty straightforward. Spray on , rub with one cloth , buff with an other ?

Buff it off. I made thr same mistake, it will buff off. Don't use it on hot paintwork

I think it may have been a tad too warm and the polish content of the spray dried before it could be buffed.

I hate cleaning black cars.
