Can existing rust get worse if car is only used in the dry?
Discussion
I acquired a 20 year old MR2 recently and as much as I've fallen for it already I'm debating whether to go to the big effort of stripping it all down and restoring it over winter or whether to store it and see how I like it next summer first.
Question is will the existing rust get much worse if it's kept in a relatively dry garage in the meantime?

I have several partially rusty cars in dry storage and have done for some time, they don't get much worse at all, if they do it's very gradual.
Winter use with salt and constant wet conditions will accelerate it massively.
Ok cheers. It's only getting used on dry summer days so hopefully will be alright for a another yearWinter use with salt and constant wet conditions will accelerate it massively.

Think about tools,.
Left outside=rusty
Musty shed=surface rust
Dry garage=bright and shiny
