I've just found moss growing in the gaps between the roof skin and rails on my X3. TBH, I don't quite understand how it's happened as I never park under trees, and rarely even park near them.

What do you recommend to remove the bloody stuff? ........And what can I do to prevent it?

I've never had a car with roof rails before, so this problem isn't something I've come across.

Pressure wash all the crap out - if moss is growing then it's because dirt is there allowing the growth

Yes - have the same thing on my Golf - the dirt stays in there - and pressure wash it out sometimes

I use some Flash Bleach spray on the mossy bits when I'm giving the car a wash. Leave for a few minutes to kill the spores.

Seems to work well and no ill effects on the car yet...

Soft toothbrush helps to shift it.
