Kranzle gun problem
Discussion
The Kranzle 1150T that I bought on recommendation from this forum over 10years ago has been brilliant up to now.
Recently, the gun has been playing up and doesn't switch off immediately when you release the trigger. It will keep running up to 20seconds after you let go. Is this a problem anyone else has encountered and if so was there a fix?
I've had no luck this far with Google and I know there are a lot of Kranzle users on here
FYI, the gun is a Typ 2.
A replacement gun is an eye watering £70

2 possibilities, there is something in the seat , ball area of the gun or the return spring is broken,
If you open up the gun there will be a nut , remove it and inside will be a spring and a ball , there’s a plunger that pushes the ball off the seat when you pull the trigger , your issue will be in there and should be obvious

Some good advice above, if it's faulty already you have nothing to lose taking it apart.
My immediate thought it Kranzle guns are okay but not the best, and you had 10 years out of this one, perhaps treat yourself to an upgrade this christmas. At least, that's how I justify a lot of stuff to myself. If you're brave, have a look at Mosmatic, they're really nice to use.

Thanks for the suggestions chaps.
I was hesitant to dismantle the gun as I'd visions of a spring and ball bearing disappearing over my shoulder at great velocity, never be to be seen again.
I can find Kranzle parts listed for their newer guns, but I'm struggling to find a repair kit for the Type2 gun.
The Mosmatic guns are even dearer than the Kranzle ones and it's not entirely clear whether theyd be compatible with the Kranzle lances I already have.
As it is, I can still use the machine albeit with an irritating problem, so I think I need to find out where to get any parts to fix it, before I completely knacker it by dismantling it.

If you're content with the Kranzle gun you should be able to buy just a replacement gun from a Kranzle distributor. I personally switched from M22 to 3/8" quick disconnects as it moves you away from Kranzle stuff and into the aftermarket which is plentiful, but to but a new gun, hose and adapters isn't cheaper than just getting a new gun.
This is the parts diagram for the gun. I've taken it to bits and couldn't see anything very obviously worn , damaged or broken.
What I did find out on reassembling it, is that the adjustment of the tension in the spring via the nuts (12) on the end of the shaft (15) is critical. Too much tension and the gun won't turn off, too little tension and it won't switch on.
By repeated trial and error I've got it working better than it was, but I'm not convinced that it's working as well as it could.
As some of the parts appear to be no longer available, and I'm not entirely sure which ones would need replacing, I think I might just have to bite the bullet and buy a new gun.
