Does anyone have any recommendations for wet vacuums? Fancy doing a bit of interior detailing and already have a half decent steam cleaner.

Thinking around £100? Got bored of searching this evening!

I've got one of these. It's no George, but you can scrub and jet wash your mats and this will suck up the majority of the water without much hassle.

I’ve got a Vax Rapide ultra 2 with an upholstery hose attachment on it. Combined spray/scrub/extract on the end of the hose is handy for cloth seats.
Extraction is good, the only downside being the form factor; it’s not easily moved about on the drive.
Upside being you can do the house carpets with it as well.
Any you buy will probably have to be a refurb now, Mine cost around £120 when new.

Was eyeing up the Karcher one, alongside the "Nilfisk buddy II".

How did you get it for £19!?

Also, does it have an upholstery attachment like the Vax one posted?

Looks quite big/heavy and how quick is it to remove the tank? Easy to clean?

If the tank retention is the same as mine it’s a clever system and can be removed and replaced very easily with one hand.
Cleaning the tank has always just been a case of filling it through the drain port using the tap, and rinsing off the small removable filter the same way.
It’s completely enclosed so you won’t be able to get in and scrub it out without significant effort but I’ve never found that to be something I wanted it needed to do.

Screwfix sell the Titan wet and dry vacs if that’s all you need, they are decent for the money.

I got it from the Karcher outlet, they were ysually refurbished or customer returns, there’s a thread on detailing world which people post when they’re back in stock.

There’s no attachment, I use trigger bottles with detergent and water then use thevac to suck it all up
