I've had my machine for a couple of years and it's had light use

Went to use it today and while it vibrates, the pad no longer spins and move from side to side as soon as I apply pressure.

It never used to be like that, any ideas what I should do

These are clutched machines so the backing plate will 'stall' if under too little load. The backing plates spin freely and move around their orbit (not side to side) when undriven. You can replace the main bearing in the head that the backing plate screws into if the backing plate isn't flat, but skewed (assuming not a damaged backing plate) but unfortunately the description of the issue is a little too vague. Pics of the machine or a link to a Youtube vid would assist.
