I’ve just got one of these based on a review by the Forensic Detailing Channel on YouTube.

I used it with Meguiars 210 and 105 with Hexlogic orange and green pads. I managed to get a great result with no micro marring/holograms. In future I’d try an alternative to the 105 as it dried up a bit too quick. A bit of detailing spray helped working time though.

I have a DAS-6 too. No complaints. Make sure you have plenty of cable length on whatever you choose. Makes all the difference.
In terms of other kit. Depends a bit on what you'll be doing but I would say a good start would be a 3" backing plate for awkward bits and a 5 or 6" for the rest. Then some pads of varying firmness. I quite like the hexlogic ones.
I use pad conditioner though I'm not sure it's critical.
You might some panel wipes or IPA spray to get any existing wax off your paintwork.
Polishing compounds obviously. Sky's the limit there. But you can get some starter packs form Menzerna etc that is probably worth a look.

Whatever you do decide to get just be very very careful where swage lines on the panels are concerned.
It's all too easy to linger just a bit too long & due to the angle things get very hot very quickly.
Lost count of the phone calls from people saying they were polishing the bonnet of their car with their new polishing machine & all of a sudden they noticed a little dull spot on a swage line so they polished it a bit more & it got bigger & what can be done about it?
The answer is a complete bonnet respray.

I'm only aiming to give the car a light going over with to get some of the fine scratch's off was planning to avoiding getting very close to the edges as well
Hence looking to get sonax perfect finish as its supposed to be a low aggressive compound and one stage without having to do a separate polish afterwords
Just need to get a couple of pads to use with the da to apply it
I've seen hex logic pads mentioned a few times one here but unsure which ones colour I'd need
