What next?

Having spent all day Saturday going over the car with wheel cleaner, shampoo, tar remover, bug remover, decontamination fluid, clay bar, polish, wax, tyre dressing, glass cleaner and trim cleaner, what's next after standing back and admiring the results? Is it just a case of shampoo and rinse until such time as I need to repeat the entire process again, or should I be doing more in the interim to protect the previous results?

New to all this 'proper' cleaning so would appreciate any tips from those who know better.

I tend to just do a bit here and there to keep it topped up without having to spend a whole day on it. Glasswork one weekend, wheels next weekend, plastics next weekened, hoover following weekend etc.

Quite a few actually...

A gentle shampoo and maybe a quick detailer or wax type spray to top up the protection.
The latter depends on what wax you used.
