Folks,

100% not the worst thing in the world but I’ve kept these pristine for 6 months since a full refurb so a bit annoying! I won’t drive up to my mums allotment any more, a big stone flicked up and did it.

I don’t want it to get any worse... should I touch this in with some rim paint? Is it likely to cause corrosion around it if I leave it? Colour is Mercedes Hyper Silver so may not get exact shade in touch up!

Had this before myself

Just touch it up, it should be fine.

If it starts to 'bloom' you'll have no choice but to get the wheel sorted properly

Any silver touch up will look fine as long as it’s a bright silver (I.e not a gunmental colour calling itself silver)

You’ll never get a very neat looking solution but no one will notice it. Wheels take a beating.

Should be Sterling Silver for the closest touch-up, I believe the hyper colour has a slightly different make-up in terms of base, but that's the same silver pigment/flakes.

Great shout, cheers guys. Will get onto it ASAP.
Only miffed as I’ve managed to avoid any form of kerbing so far!

Spot on, thanks very much for this tip. £5 touch up brush and it’s virtually undetectable now.
