Did a number of cars in the 80's and early 90s at home, using cellulose paint. Used a basic face mask.
What's the go to now? Don't want to be buying and using an air fed mask for one job, what are the options, is cellulose still available?
Thanks

I did my project car a few years ago using Lechler Macrofan 5, which was described as a modern cellulose equivalent. I have zero experience, so probably everything that wasn't good about it was my fault. I struggled a lot with orange peel, and then removing the scratches I put in it trying to get the orange peel out. By the time I got to the last few panels I'd got the technique going quite well.

Thanks for the info, that Lechler stuff seems to be a european paint?
If ordinary celly is still available I may just go for that as the lechle stuff is slow drying, it'll probably be full of flies! I once used plant enamel on a car, that was slow drying and as I wasn't used to it, it ran. Terribly.

This.

Just be prepared to spend more time polishing it to the desired finish.
