Looking at the Autoglym snow foam kit it has a pre-wash foam, a shampoo and a protection coating. Is it worth getting all three, bearing in mind I already have ‘normal’ shampoo, polish, wax, wheel cleaner and contaminant remover, or just the pre-wash foam?
It would appear getting the lot is just getting what I already have, although it does seem as though there’s a considerable cost and time difference between a snow foam kit and a more conventional one.

My advice would be to move away from Autoglym stuff and into the pro range offerings. Koch Chemie GSF is one of my favourites right now and can be used as a normal shampoo, foams really well and cleans much better than the stuff you find in Tescos.
I appreciate this doesn't directly answer your question but I know you'll have a better time with a better product.

I have all three of those AG products and the only one I use regularly is the shampoo variant as it’s nice and thick and I can see at a glance where I’ve done on the car and where’s still left to do. I use BH snow foam, it’s not good for those Insta shots but it’s better at cleaning than the AG one.
I didn’t really think the sealant was all that good compared to my usual so it stays on the shelf.

Yes, that’s the AG one - middle stage of the three the OP mentioned.
Thanks for your reply. I shall that AG out.I use
AF Avalanche
rinse
AF Lavish (which should be used last, but I have found, my mistake, it aids lubrication for the next stage)
rinse
AF Caramics Enhancing Shampoo via the lance
rinse
AF Lavish again
So all with the lance. I only need one bucket to dunk/rinse the mitt. Step 3 via the lance is more controllable and suds better than via a bucket. The two bucket method is dead.
Have all sorts in the cupboard
But currently using snow foam, prewash and bumper black from these guys.
It's good stuff and well priced

But find Maguire's ceramic quick wax better than the Hydra

Good dedication there. I use BH to begin and then the AG one in a second snow foam bottle to save rinsing the first. One bucket and the chance to cover the car again like it's a scene from Ghostbusters helps keep my enthusiasm and enjoyment levels high. Get a really good glide on the wash mitt by lathering the car directly than having to pull it onto the mitt from the clean bucket.
