Hi,

I've been looking at a possible purchase and wondered if some more skilled people could give their opinion on these rust spots please?

Along the top of the windscreen and looks to be from stone chips. The dealer says they can sort them but it looks a tricky fix to me. The car is 6yrs old.

Opinions welcome.

Thanks

Run a mile, that "spidering" will have crept under the glass also!

Would require removal of the windscreen to sort properly, so probably not a terribly easy fix, and not something the dealership is likely to bother doing, and any ‘touch up’ type repair won’t last.

What make/model car is it?

Screen needs taking out,it will have spread further than you can see.
If that's done yes it's an easy repair but it's unlikely a dealer will go that far, screen will get masked up,roof painted and the rust will start showing again in a few months

How long is the warranty? That’s how long the rust repair will last plus a week !

I'm grateful for your inputs thanks. You've pretty much confirmed my concerns. The dealer doesn't score well on aftercare either.

It's a Nissan 370Z.

Thanks again.
