Paint quote - Porsche 996

After some advice on what I should be paying to have the following repainted on my 996 metallic blue.

Front bumper
Rear bumper
Side sills
Front wings (blend I to doors)
Bonnet

I went to a bodyshop today to get a quote and they're coming back to me.

What are peoples thoughts as to cost as I haven't got a clue.

You would be better asking for recommendations for good bodyshops in your area.

Prices may vary considerably from area to area & from bodyshop to bodyshop & wild guesses on the internet are going to be no help.

About £1500 I'd say.

I was quoted £800 for the bonnet on my Panamera by OPC Preston. I had a side skirt replaced (£300 part) and painted for £800 at Road and Race Salford. They are a recognised Porsche body shop. Can't help with recommendations for your area but I hope that gives you an idea on costs.

Probably not far off, I had a few quotes around 4.5-5k for a glass out respray and rear arch repairs on my 996. Nobody could actually do the work so it's still pending.

It depends entirely on what repairs require carrying out to said panels, but without seeing the car, I would be quoting IRO of £1800-£2100+VAT for that, depending on various factors.

Thanks for the replies. I've been quoted 2.5-3k.

There is some rust starting to form and the car has been painted in some areas before so I'm guessing we're not a million miles off.
