My wife (bless her) thought she had found an ingenious method of removing hardened tree sap spots from her windscreen when cleaning her windscreen by taking a Scotchbrite pad and scouring. She now has three spots of glass that look just as if they have been scoured with a Scotchbrite pad....funnily enough!!
If i was to use a DA polisher with AG Glass polish could I cause more damage? Any other tips?

That is unfortunate. To recover glass, if it all possible, you need to hit it with something very aggressive to see any change, glass is bloody hard.

A Rayon pad is recommended for glass, and a specialist glass polish would be useful. I use Carpro Ceriglass.
