My old man came to visit today and some how managed to reverse into my 2 month old Mustang weeping

Not sure how he did it (not like its invisible!), i purposely parked it in the corner to give him loads of room, knowing how bad his driving is!!

Its gone right through to the plastic on the bumper, and annoyingly also taken the paint off part of the wing as well. But can't see any dents.

So what do we think regarding repair? The paint is Ford "Twister Orange". I would like a proper repair, and not be able to see any patching etc.

I might try and pop over to Cribbs Causeway Ford tomorrow and see what they say.

But do we think it can be patched?, or will it need full panel and bumper respray?

And how much do we think I'm looking at from a dealer? I would prefer it done at a dealer incase of any paint warranty issues.

Cheers

Depends... anywhere from £200-£1000 would be my guess. Smart repair or proper job?

I would like a proper job with invisible repair. My guess was towards the £1K mark frown

When you say “old man” just how old are we talking?

Unfortunately you might have to sit him down and have a chat with him about his suitability to drive, if he still crashes into a bright orange car that was moved to give him extra room.

Maybe his eyesight is going? My old man had to get glasses but was unaware of it or in denial for years.

My grandfather was losing it mentally. People his age and condition shouldn’t have been driving.

72, unfortunately he is just a crap driver - always has been, but still insists on driving a large Jag!

I thought he was joking when he said he had "nudged" my car.

£250/300 cash job at a decent little bodyshop, hopefully one of your fiends will know of such a place.
Smart repair might be cheaper but maybe not so permanent.

Superb colour that, fed up to the back teeth seeing the bland colours so boringly fashionable on so many bland cars in recent years.

We always recommend Brin Jones at Filton if you are in Bristol.

Middleton's Motor Care in Hewish if further down the M5.

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks, just had a quote off them. I had a good feeling that they knew what they were doing. Workshop looked nice and clean and tidy etc.
They would Remove the bumper, repaint bumper, and also repaint the wing to guarantee a perfect finish.
Its a little steep at £890+Vat. But i think they will do a good job. Plus they will go a courtesy car, he thinks they would need it for a week.

I also visited another place, i didn't get the same feeling with them, they would repaint the bumper on the car, and just blend the wing.
No courtesy car, £500+vat.

I think im going to go with Brin Jones, as the car is only 2 months old i want a top job.

Jag unmarked I guess?

Someone reversed into my BMW a few years ago and while a small amount of damage, they replaced the hole front bumper, half the car these days £1500.

I believe that you can get old men sorted for about £2k

If you go down to you local rough pub and drop some hints that there is someone you need removing, or a note on the dark web. Old man sorted.............

Perhaps you’d be content with a professional touch up? That color is probably easy to conceal.
