Just looking for some thoughts/opinions. Had my Audi S1 wheels done yesterday with a local alloy wheel specialist. Wheels are diamond cut, so for all 4 wheels paid £520. Dropped off Monday morning and picked up yesterday afternoon. The diamond cut part I am happy with, however I can see some raised paint spots on the painted elements of the wheel.

Am I being too fussy? I have had other wheels refurbed by Lepsons in the past and never seen any paint marks in their work. Also the wheels were not super clean when I picked them up. I pointed out the raised spots to the guy working there and he did not think it was a problem..

Thanks G

There’s crap in the finish. Take it up with them and see what they say. Some will redo, but don’t expect it to be any better as they are probably rushing them all through.

Thanks. If I paid £60/70 a wheel, I would not mind so much, however over £500 I expect them to be a pretty good standard..

That would be a rejection by me. Surely that’s not Lepson’s work? Their quality is usually the best.

If Lepson's are the 'go to' people for alloy wheel repair/refurbishment, why didn't you go there???

I wanted the convenience, as needed the car, (Lepson usually need wheels for 3/4 days) secondly wanted to support my local business.

Awaiting their feedback on pictures I sent them.

I recently came across Supreme Wheels in Milton Keynes which is owned by BCA , I left the car with them as they have several surrounding warehouses and collected her 4 Days later , an absolutely stunning job . Give them a phone as they collect from all over Britain apparently .

£520, Blimey, I need to put my prices up, we charge £280 plus vat for four DC alloys.

Those bits in the paint are unacceptable.

Can recommend Supreme wheels in Milton Keynes, known Pete the guy who started it for many years.
