I just got a replacement from Amazon as the first one they sent me was the wrong fitment and now this.

am I doing something wrong or is it screwed???

Not sure, but are you missing a rubber 'o' ring on the male part of the connector?

I had something similar happen when connecting new kit and quite quickly realised the o-ring had fallen off without me noticing....
