As per thread title.

I'm not meaning taking it through the car wash, but the old fashioned way with shampoo and water.

Just done mine after three months although it's a colour that doesn't show the dirt.

It's a bit like gardening, you have to be in the mood for it. biggrin

My daily driver gets a wash every week or whenever it's dirty. I'll usually spend a few hours every few weeks to do a proper job and use the opportunity to clean the cars which aren't being used as often.

Ceramic coating combined with light washes/ Snowfoam & a good drying towel make life so much easier.

I consider car cleaning time as one of my chill out activities.

Not often.

Range Rover hasn't been done in the 6 months I've had it.
TVR got a wipe over yesterday, 996 hasn't been done in months, but, neither of these really go anywhere!

Very infrequently. I don't enjoy cleaning things.

Whenever it gets in unbearably dirty or has been used in gritted roads
I know some people enjoying cleaning and detailing cars... I'm not one of them. If it takes more than 20 mins it's too long

I've had mine washed twice in the year that I've had it.

No facility to wash at home.

I do the plates, lights and windows as and when required (so mostly in winter), but other than that the garage does it when it goes for a service/MOT which I feel is sufficient.

I've had my current car somewhere between 4 and 5 years. It gets an annual visit to the car wash pre-MOT but I've never cleaned it myself.

Once a month usually, maybe more if it’s got really dirty. Can’t stand a dirty car.

Once a year. In the past this was done by the garage at the annual service. Last 2 years, I've had to do it myself "because Covid".

Tried washing my car myself. But always finish thinking it doesnt actually look very clean, certainly not worth the time, effort and bending it took.

So as of now, i dont think i will ever wash a car myself again. I earn plenty enough money to pay someone else £12 to do it every other month or so, and they do a far better job than i can.

I give my car a full wash and dry once a week.
I wouldnt dream of taking my car to a car wash or even letting anybody else wash it...trusted detailer excepted.
I have been known on occasion to only wash my wheels when the weather is bad and a full wash would be a waste of my time. As a result my wheels never have a build up of brake dust and don't require specialist cleaning products.
I buy my cars new and change often, but if I owned an old shed I probably wouldnt be so fussy. biggrin

My car after its wash last weekend.

I live down country tracks and it's pointless washing cars..

In the summer monthly-ish
Occasionally a rinse only if dusty rather than dirty. I use rain water from a water butt for this and rinsing after washing so no drying is required
In the winter more often as required
In between the wheels get done if they need it (plus number plates, lights, windows, etc)
A couple of times a year it gets a coat of wax (which makes cleaning easier)
