New Pressure Washer Advice ?
Discussion
Need a new pressure washer, primarily for winter car cleaning.
Would prefer to invest in something above the usual budget models, perhaps with hot water - but these models seem to range from £600 (which is feasible) to ££££+ (which would need a lot of justification)
Convenience is my big issue - hate faffing around with awkward cables, accessories, etc - just want a nice, reliable, user friendly model, that is a pleasure to use and easy to store.
Any recommendations or past links appreciated.
Thanks

I recently purchased Karcher K3 for £130 from argos which comes with 5m hose and in addition purchased also a 20m long extension to connect the 5m to, so I get 25m overall.
I live in terraced house so I can now leave the machine in the back garden and run just the pipe to front of driveway.
Depending on the location of your tap, you may get away with just having a 10m long hose or may need longer one.
Ideally, you want hose long enough so that you don't need to keep pulling the pressure washer as you go around.
You can buy karcher products from their outlet store for quite some savings... I would recommend K4 if you want to splash around 200 ish

Thanks for that.
However, I already have a similar Karcher, which does a fair job for the price, but really want to take the opportunity to move up to something a bit more professional.

There you go plus Nilfisk have metal pumps rather than Karcher plastic ones.
Kranzle make very good machines, as you know good machines don't come cheap.
Hot pressure washers you go up another banding in price altogether, however for those times you need hot water you can connect at least some Kranzle (and no doubt others) to the hot water outlet at your home.
I have a 1152 TST and am very happy with it, also has the power and all important litres per minute volume for utilising for drain jetting and gutter cleaning with the appropriate accessories, also good for after winter underbody cleaning with L shaped lance because you can dial the pressure right down and still have enough volume of water to do the job with a wide angle lance,
As explained to me by the engineer who services our commercial washers, who's advice i asked (nothing to gain for him by the way), there are several things to look for in a washer, volume/minute is more important than quoted headline pressures, brass pump not aluminium which water eventually corrodes, rubber pipe not plastic and minimum 15m long.
With cheaper domestic washers you tend not to apply a constant spary of varying width, but more likely to draw pencil thin lines around the vehicle you are washing.
Downside is you could buy half a dozen domestic washers for the cost of one half decent quality made.
