My Type r is fitted with red Recaros with cloth centres and suede / alcantara style bolsters. I'd like to clean them. We have a Vax carpet cleaner which I was planning on using but I don't want to cause fading.

Are off the shelf interior cleaners safe on the red? Woolite gets lots of recommendations.
Should I just use the Vax to and dry?
Am I just being lazy and should do everything with buckets and cloths?

Car isn't used everyday so could be left to dry for a week or two.

Thanks

If you're talking about the FN2 seats, I can vouch for Woolite.

Mixed about 80:20 water/cleaner in a spray bottle, agitated with a microfibre cloth and vacuumed. Don't use anything too rough as it can leave the red bits fuzzy.

Did use a small amount of G101 on a stained area but wouldn't want to do that over a large area or frequently.

Also remember running the clippers over the slightly bobbled bolsters to great effect on that car... Left the seats like new.

Thanks for the replies. They are actually the JDM red ones (fitted to my 30th anniversary).
