Car hit and run for the FOURTH time
Discussion
Starting to boil my piss, this... Once again, my fourth brand new car out of four that I've had in the last ~10 years has been whacked into while parked/unattended, and the scummy useless waste of oxygen who did it has driven away without saying anything. Four totally different cars, at different times and locations while parked up, and four random events.
Definitely not targeted or whatever, just local scum (probably with no licence or insurance) being scum. It's galling, especially as at two years old it was literally flawless until today. Not a single swirl, mar, scratch or blemish inside or out (despite a family of six!). I've really looked after it. Bring back hanging, etc etc.
I really need to fit a dash cam!
I'm on my arse atm, as I've just had pneumonia for the third time in 8 months. I don't fancy paying out for a smart repair just after Xmas, but I don't fancy having to claim on the insurance (again) either! My excess would be about the price of a smart repair anyway. All that said, I do have a DA and some previous experience. What do you reckon my chances are of polishing this (mostly) out? I appreciate the pics aren't great, sorry. My wife took them, as I said I'm not very mobile atm.
I have had a look myself, and although it looked terrible at first (including blue paint transfer and one scratch across the bottom that you can just about feel with your nail), the rest has almost buffed out with a microfibre. The white hazy scratching is still all there but it feels mirror-like after a wash and a rub with a MF, no depth at all. That part I'm confident the majority will blend in, at least 'enough' for now to stop it being gopping and drawing the eye.
But what do we think about the bottom section? It seems the culprit has reversed and smacked their front corner into the front wing behind the wheel, where it joins the front passenger door, and then just carried on going. The scrape/ding is worst at the front and then the scrape continues but becomes lighter towards the B pillar.

I was hoping something like Menzerna Heavy Cut FG400 or even one of the 'diminishing' compounds to start and see how it comes out? If there's much left of the scratches/hazing after a good polish, some Prima Amigo and wax will likely hide the remainder I hope. I know BMW paint is fairly hard, certainly versus the VAG paint on my last car (Skoda Superb). If I can get it >90% invisible and blended in to the road grime (currently over a coat of Fusso and Fukapika) for now I'll be happy, until I can afford a decent smart repair.
Any thoughts or advice appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

No chance of CCTV unfortunately. My wife was out last night (when it must have happened), as she went to her severely ill relative's flat and then the hospital and back. No CCTV cover either places, and we're not sure where in the journeys it's happened, she only saw it this morning in the daylight.
Fingers crossed the polish helps, I'll have to nip to Halford's tomorrow (the last of my Menzerna all in one got left out and froze last year so I binned it). Wish me luck, but I think it's going to end up just going to the local trusted smart repair place, who've done nice work for me in the past.

Smart repair place quoted £560(!) so I've ordered a bottle of Menzerna 400 and a medium pad. I'll just polish the worst off, slap some black hole on top and see if it's passable. You can hardly see anything today now it's rained and got some road grime on top, 99% of it is just clear coat marring so touch wood.
