Hi folks, I have a 996 with tan leather interior which needs cleaning and restoring. Damage runs from dry, cracked to worn.
I understand I will need filler and dye / colour but not sure where is best to buy it from that is good quality. I am happy to spray gun apply it for the best finish.

Any input, forums, suppliers etc greatly appreciated!

Furniture clinic always get high praise, you may find a deep clean and condition is all you need sometimes.

Have a go with some of this, pretty impressive on shoes. I was that impressed so I looked at reviews and other users do praise it highly in car leather work. One tub should be enough.

OP, I think you'll find that the colour of your leather is "Savannah Biege" - there are various different ways of treating/repairing the leather although the recommendations above are spot on. The best way is probably to apply a specialist alcohol based cleaner and sand paper back the leather before filling damaged areas and then using a multi stage spraying technique, recolour it.... it sounds ominous but should give the best longterm finish if done properly (YouTube has plenty of tutorials).

I’ve found the custom colour matched sets from gliptone/liquid leather to be the best value for money and quality. Have a look at their site and pick whichever set covers the issues you have.

You have the option to send a headrest or similar to them to get an exact match to your leather, taking in to account any ageing/ sun damage over the years etc

I used gliptone scuff master dye on a badly worn black seat and it made a massive improvement

Thanks folks greatly appreciate the replies, I’ve looked at gliptone and furniture clinic and think I prefer the later but not totally set!
I’m going to have a go with the steering wheel and take it from there!

My vote is for colourlock, not the cheapest but the colour match was excellent for my 996

The steering wheel may just need a thorough clean with the right stuff in some instances. If you decide the finish isn’t good enough from using the recolouring option, Royal Steering Wheels can retrim it for sensible £s to match the original colour.

Another vote for colourlock here. Fantastic products.
