Paint peeling on new car
Discussion
I have a new model car and the underside of rear bumper behind the wheels is painted but thinly, you can't get rear mud flaps and this is the state of it at 1k miles

This is someone's at 9k ish.

Fear is it will start peeling up bumper, as not visable initially most of us didn't spot the damage till too late so ppf not and option.
Could it be pealing so bad because of bad prep / painting when it built?
Thanks

Damaged by road dirt sand & stones being thrown up by the wheels - effectively sandblasting the areas in the line of fire.
As it's a new car back to the dealer.
After refinishing protection would be by mudflaps or, as you say they're not available, ppf.

Yeap it's vag Cupra Leon, a few of us with it but most people not noticed ir till too late, manufacturer not being helpful, dismissed as design issue, I dont want mine to get worse. Never having a VAG car again quality on the Leon is crap.
