I posted this before in General Gassing, but it had no replies.
So I'm posting here hoping that someone can recommend a mobile SMART repair that is near East London
Ideally I'd like to find a mobile service, as i don't want them to collect/deliver, given the type of car (and bad experiences of such service)

ChipsAway have been the cheapest so far, but want to collect/deliver
I've also received a quote from Essex Smart Repair, but they are double the price, but are mobile.

Original message:
Neighbour has backed their car into mine over the weekend and now i have to task of finding someone to repair the damage.
Could anyone recommend a SMART repair company in or around East London please?

Smart repairs are usually crap

With blend lines, hard edges , and will peel soon

I would imagine fine for using on a dealer forecourt to sell a car

not on expensive and presumably pretty new X5

I'd have a full bumper painted, I'd guess £300-400 for drive in-drive out, by a proper body shop, not a man with a tent and a Citreon Berlingo.

Given it is you out of pocket, then that is what I would have done.

Given where it is on the car, the age MY2016, and the size of it, i feel that a whole bumper respray will be excessive.
Even with video footage, the neighbour asked if they could measure up, so they can work out "if" they did this. So trying to get hundreds out of them will be like blood out of a stone.
Ideally i would like to not get my Insurance company involved, given how much i already have to pay in premiums; although I've not totally ruled it out.

However, any recommendation on a body shop near to East London?

I think they may have had a few drinks, given how far away from the kerb they ended up parking.
And the old line of "didn't hear or feel anything when parking"

Or they just didn't give a $hit.

There's no need to measure up to ask "if".
It's there in black and white.

If they want to play silly biggers then simply send the footage of this to their insurance company and the bill for a bumper respray.

Smart repairs are crap, use a proper body shop, no other option.
