All these car progs' on TV got me thinking, how easy/difficult would it be for a car trimmer to either cover or replace the cloth panels of the seats in the car with leather ? The bolsters are leather but b*m seat and back are cloth, a bit of colour would brighten up the interior.
And of course, for both front seats and rear bench/back (full set), any idea of ££££ ?
Thanks
Brian.

Hi Brian. I was quoted £600 to redo my cloth MX5 seats in leather recently, with an extra £50 for the gear and handbrake gators. Not sure if that helps?

Thanks Les,
Yes it gives a figure to work on. Approx £600 for front and ??? for rear. Looks like a minimum of £1200 then.
Cheers
Brian.

Isn’t the answer ‘It depends’……

  • what quality of leather you going for
  • addition details like piping or stitching
  • is there a common template to work from?
  • where in the country you getting the work done
I’m not an expert but I’m going to go out on a limb and say you won’t know till you ring round and get quotes in your local area.
