I'm led to believe wd40 is good. Not tried it myself.

Bug and Tar are usually 2 different formulas.

Bugs need dissolving and tar needs a thinner.

Most people use a regular citrus degreaser type thing to remove bugs as part of a pre-wash.

Tar is a once or twice a year with a dedicated product type thing as they often remove any protective coating on the vehicle also.

Tardis is excellent, used to use it when I was detailing as paid work. Was only available in big tins though from what I remember.
