Meguiars Snow Foam - Not Foaming?
Discussion
I recently bought a (annoyingly large) bottle of Meguiar's Ultimate Snow Foam Xtreme Cling and used it for the first time today. I mixed it 1:5 as per the instructions and used it through the Nilfisk Snow Foam lance that came with my pressure washer (like this one).
However, the foam wasn't very thick. It sprayed on as a very thin, watery foam that didn't really stick and just dripped off. The car I was washing did have a ceramic coat applied so not sure if this was what caused the foam to not stick but regardless I expected it to come out reasonably thick.
Any advice or tips on using this product?
Thanks

Not used that product but I’d have a wild guess that the mix is too weak? I use BH which after following their instructions a mix for me is about 60% water 40% product. Are you applying it to a dry car? If you’re pre-wetting that might encourage it to run off.
Will give that a shot - but I suspect as Greg & Ste say the foam sprayer isnt quite a snow foam one. Will pick up a better one and see what happens.Yep, definitely sounds like the lance. I can recommend the MMJ lance. Costly but the best out there.
As a quick tip, I watched an Auto Care HQ video a few weeks ago that did an interesting test with snow foam from a lance versus snow foam liquid concentrate mixed with water and applied from a small pump sprayer. She found the the pump spray application was as effective as snow foam from a lance. I tried the same test using BH snow foam and got fantastic results. I used 50ml BH Auto Foam with 950ml of water in a pump sprayer, applied all over a dry car. I rinsed it off about five minutes later (the ambient temperature was a lot lower than at the moment) with the pressure washer and got fantastic results. Usually my rinse bucket would be filthy but this time it was as clean as the bucket containing my shampoo. If snow foaming your car is hard - and it is for me when I’m in London - the pump spray method works as well as snow foaming.

Cheers for this - definitely something to consider when the driveway is full!As a quick tip, I watched an Auto Care HQ video a few weeks ago that did an interesting test with snow foam from a lance versus snow foam liquid concentrate mixed with water and applied from a small pump sprayer.
