Changing door on MINI R56

Hi, just bought a cheap MINI with a badly painted drivers door. If I find a door from same model and colour and swap it, will the windows/locking still work? Will the car just recognise the new door or is it more complicated? Sorry if this seems a stupid question. Last time I did stuff like this it was all a lot more basic!

It’s an 08 MINI One R56. Also, if I get a door with glass, door panel etc still in place, is it a simple job?

Should be fine on one of those.

The paint won't match though most likely so it will still stand out.
