Dull and marked foot pegs

Tried to spruce these up with Scotch brite and oil, also tried metal Polish. But as you can see, they still look pretty dull and have like stains in the grains.

What products and methods do you recommend

Surface corrosion
Probably need something a little more abrasive to really cut through it
