Hi All

My car was involved in an accident & the wheel was face was badly damaged. The car has been returned repaired but the wheel looks like is has 100s of lines running round the wheel rather than being a sheer smooth surface.

Am I expecting too much for it to be the same smooth finish?

Cheers

Rubbish diamond cut finish.

The wheel lathe has been incorrectly set and done too quick.

How does it compare to the other wheels.

Excuse the salt, just noticed when collected.

Not the same finish. I'd be letting them have another go at doing it correctly.

Being in the alloy refurb game for over 25 years I can confirm this is the correct answer.

( There are a few, and I mean few wheel that have this style cut, Lexus being the most popular)

Send it back.

I’m surprised they refurbed it I would have thought they would just fit a new wheel to be honest.

safer to get a new wheel in my opinion.

The wheel is as probably ball polished from new. Diamond cut will leave loads of lines, so that’s not the correct finish to match.

Not many wheel places have a ball polisher - I think Lepsons do now.
