I have an 2014 VW Transporter with glassfibre hightop, all non-metallic red from factory. It is low miles (40k) and immaculate, so worth keeping up appearances and protection.

I am concerned it is starting to fade a touch, and thought that I need to get onto things to slow this down and protect it. I am however new to any kind of waxing, polishing or protecting...

I wonder about using a coloured wax / protection of some kind?
I also wonder about using a professional to do this, just to do a really good job.
I currently just hand wash regularly with TurtleWax Hybrid Solutions.

Thoughts and advice welcome - I would rather a good job than penny pinch on this.

Not sure there is much you can do with it really, it seems to fade for a pastime.
A good quality wax may help, something like Fusso coat is very durable. Most of the spray ceramic/waxes from the likes of Turtle wax, Meguiars etc are pretty good to be honest.

Agreed that it is a battle I will not win long term, but I can delay, protect maybe more than just a wash...!?

As a painter its only another coat of clearcoat lacquer that will give it the UV protection I’m afraid, any detailing product will make it look better but it isn’t stopping the UV fading it.

All red paint loves a bit of sun bleaching! frown

Some factor 50 maybe.
Just regular care really as normal, some products claim to contain uv inhibitors but it's all nonsense really.

I love the idea of being able to put some factor 50 on it! That would be a perfect solution! rofl
