I've recently had a brand new blue car detailed, with ceramic coating applied. I didn't bother with the wheels since it's an EV and will generate relatively little brake dust.

I'm far from a detailer myself, but I do understand how to carefully wash a car to avoid general scratches and swirl marks.

What products would you recommend? I'm thinking mostly along the lines of a good but reasonably priced PH neutral wash soap. I asked the detailer if it's worth buying one of those little air jet blaster tools and he said don't bother unless you are using filtered water to wash, which I obviously won't be.

Any other major dos and don'ts when it comes to washing after a ceramic coating?

About to get a new car done. I’ve been using Gtechniq G wash for shampoo and found it very good.

Which brand of ceramic coating is it?

Generally best to keep on brand, since they’ll have specifically tested it with their own branded products :-)

Your detailer should have told you that really.
A neutral shampoo is fine but it may need a stronger one every 6 months or so to bring the coating back to life.
Gyeon make great products so I would stick with them.

Then go with Gyeon products.

Snow foam & shampoo.

Every 6 months use a fallout remover to revive the coating.

Don’t use acidic quick detailers or rinseless washes - they may degrade the coating (though not all coatings are equal)
