Hi all.

I know I should go and ask a local company, and I will, I just want to make sure I'm keeping the car first. My E90 msport wheels are looking absolutely awful now. Kerbed, corroded and just otherwise shabby (I purchased the car with them like this as a cheap run-around). If I keep the car, I'd like them refurbished, but I'm concerned they're too far gone for a cheapish (£100 per corner sort of deal) run of the mill repair. Thoughts?

Cheers

Pics aren't much use, we would need to see MUCH closer up on the areas of damage.

Looks fine to me. There might be some pitting visible post refurb where the worst corrosion is but usually this is sanded out/minimised by the refurb companies.

Zero issues there; a decent company will have them refurbed in no time at all for c£200 I'd say

OE BMW Silver tends to be a wet finish and then lacquered; something like platinum silver will be a powder coat finish and then lacquered

I've bought Style 66s for winter wheels for previous E39s that have been much, much worse than that and they were refurbished perfectly by my pal that owns Tillings of Longton, here in Preston

These were the most recent for me:

Mine look slightly worse than that and they are in for a refurb now, I'll post up some before and after photo's when I get them back.

Thanks all. I'll get them booked in, if the car behaves itself after the repairs (been getting low oil pressure on and off...). Looking forward to seeing the before and after shots!
