Hi,
I am desperate for work now in the bodywork trade!

I want to get into bodywork I am 24 year old female in the Kent, Sittingbourne, swale, rochester area but struggling to find someone to take me on, is anyone here looking for a trainee / apprentice? I have little to no experience but more than willing to learn and I’m a quick visual learner! Very interested in painting / multi skilled! Please comment me if you know of any places looking
Thank you smile

Yes, they're busy so you may be better off going up in person as answering the phone isn't their strong point.

I tried them! Unfortunately they’re not looking to take anyone on but they were lovely!

Shame, there are about 3-4 other bodyshops in that area so they may be worth giving a call.

Thank you I’ll have a look, I keep getting told that the industry isn’t looking for people etc and other people saying they’re crying out for people so now I’m stuck I’ll keep trying but this has been ongoing since January 😫

Day & Whites

Chappell Coachworks

M Falcon Repair Services

Ascott Repair Centre

Hopfields Auto Repairs

Dartford Motorworks

Steer Dartford

Urban Body repairs

The industry needs more people BUT insurance companies don't want to pay the correct rates for people to want to hire trainees & due to the cost of parts & the lack of repairers within the industry more gets written off.

It's a hard indutry to get in, fingers crossed one of the above gives you a shot.

I tried Chappell today they aren’t hiring but I’ll try the others! Thank you again!

Best advice is to try local independent bodyshops directly rather than just online ads. Many take on trainees if you show up in person and show willingness to learn.

You don’t accept emails on here.

I can get you a conversation with the HR department at the biggest collision repair group.
It might not lead to anything, but it’s one step closer.

Send me your email address or LinkedIn profile via PM.
Cheers
