Door card scratch advice/ help
Discussion
Hi , my wife scratched and I’m trying to do something with it as made it worse and more noticeable, this is a brand new lease car so I am a little annoyed and frustrated at how bad it looks , could anyone help in what I could use to restore it with I know the scratch will be difficult to remove but it just looks a mess ..
Someone in the family thought they were trying to help but not sure what’s been used on it to make it look like this ..Could anyone help as to what I could use to improve how it looks .

Is it textured plastic? If so, it may be worth trying one of those magic sponges (white ones) as they are excellent at getting scratches off plastic.
My advise would be to test it on a hidden part of the door card in case. If that's what someone has tried already, then I'd suggest an all purpose cleaner to remove whatever that residue is and live with the scratch unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply, it’s the fading around the scratch that’s the issue as it’s obvious just need to sort that one also noticed while looking another scratch on the inner door paint and I think it’s a child’s car seat that’s done it ..Happy to pay for the fixes not sure if it’s a body shop or car detailer
I was literally about to say it's probably less hassle to get a new door card.
However, why not just keep the new one ready to swap at the end of the lease rather than risk damaging that one too?

Spend your 39 quid on the door card, but don t fit it, wait till the day before the car goes back and fit it then. This will happen again.
