Not too close to you, but would give good results and be comparatively cheap, Bridgwater college do lots of classic cars and keep costs down by getting students to do the prep work. The work I have seen (did a 10 week evening course there) was excellent.
Might be worth looking at who does body repair courses near you as you would save a fair bit and get more time spent on it than a commercial shop.

Is black problematic? I've found it to be the easiest to get a match with... Even JTF £1 tin of spray on black paint with some quality laquer looks as good as OEM on a flat black Peugeot 306 (with laquer obviosuly)...
Perhaps if it's metallic or something then it could be.... hmmmmmm...

Eddy, really curious about paints and things.
I read often that "re-spray" paint is not as tough as the original, and can chip more easily etc etc.
Is this true, or is it just poor quality products or application?
I really want to get my front end sprayed up (previous owner had front end done for stone chips, but it looks so tatty now and some laquer is peeling out of sight but it's still peeling), but don't want to pay money to have an inferior finish.
I'd prefer to source good OEM panels of accident damaged cars than get a spray job that won't be like OEM.
Is it possible to get OEM appearance (up close, metallic flake density, sub-clear coat appearance of roughness (metallic pearl with clearcoat), and the colour difference that can be visible under street lights) with an aftermarket spray job using OEM coded paints? And have it last?
How much would you quote for a nearside wing right round to drivers door, going over bonnet and bumper? I've had a quote for £80 for a single wing off the car, but had a quote for £450 for the above from a place in Leeds that did a car the same colour as mine and it came out nice. Just don't want it all flaking in 12 months time
Do OEM do anything in their process that you don't?
Thanks for any help or advice.
Cheers
