Body Filler

I have some surface rust which I need to dig out of a panel. Once treated I need a very fine filler paste to smooth the metal. Can anyone suggest a suitable type and where I can get it from ?

halfwits should sell some stopper paste to do the job you need... if the area is a bit too big, then maybe some regular p38 to start with...

'Plastic Padding' the elastic version.
Halfords or most any car parts places.
Follow that with a primer then high build filler primer.
Lots of wet and dry etc. etc.
see if you can enjoy it cos I never do.

Thanks , that sounds like it should do the job.Been along time since I have seen rust on a car so I forgot what we used to do with it.
