Anyone know anything about cleaning cars with armourfend on them?
Just had the runningboards armourfended on my car and was about to wax it at the weekend but slightly concerned about the effect it might have..

Anyone know the score here?

buy yourself a Zymol screen clean kit and the wax in there stops the armourfend from yellowing over a period of time.

Mr Tony,

We recommend owners of cars that we have fitted Paintshield to just wash and wax as usual. In fact it is advisable to wax it often. Please do not though use any form of polish as this will cause scratching to the film (such as T Cut etc). If the film has just been applied, then wait 5 days before washing so that it gives the film time to grip.
Also when cleaning, do not aim a pressure washer jet at any of the edges of the film as they have been known to lift.
In the event of a corner peeling, you can get an alcohol wipe and wipe the sticky side. This should activate the adhesive again allowing the film to be restuck.

Hope this helps.

Thanks chaps. Seems that I've got away without polishing it again - it's at the delaers getting the sports exhaust fitted, so they'll do the detailing again for free. Result!

Also as an added note, you need to check what film Armourfend used. Paintshield and a few others use £M film that has UV protection properties in them so they wont fade or yellow. Best to check with the installer.
