I am still in search of the ultimate finishing touch!

Have tried lots of different makes (both from home and abroad) and have yet to find a product that has the finish that you see in showrooms. Can anybody enlighten me as to what this product is, and where I can get hold of it? Failing that anybody know any commercially available product that performs similarly?

What finish are you trying to achieve? Super wet look?

Meguiars Endurance tyre gel is my favourite at the moment (I'm not keen on super wet, but it does give a nice long lasting shine).

To ensure it soaks in to the tyre properly you first need to make sure the tyre is thoroughly clean. To clean the tyre you can use a variety of products (Meguiars APC is good) but warm soapy water (plenyty of soap) and a nail brush also works well (rinse off well with hose after).

Cut a bit off a sponge to use as an applicator and let it soak in for a good 30min before wiping off the excess.

Hope that helps

I suppose the finish could be called `super wet look'. I have around three or four types at the moment most are what I would describe as a satin sheen finish.
I must admit I rather like the wet look.

The best I have found for a really dripping wet look is Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel - you can get it from here.

Let us know how you get on.

The dressing used in the trade is autoglym, however there is a secret recipe brewed up including qashing up liquid that gives a damn good finish too!
