HVLP (High Velocity Low Pressure) is State of the Art.

As for which Gun?...it really depends upon what Type of Paint you are Shooting.

Actually HVLP is High Volume Low Pressure.

And its been around quite a long time, If you can get a HVLP gun great, but you need a big tank to run it, for most home applications it would be unnecessary, as it does not give better finishes it just minimises blow back and paint wastage, useful un business but not at home.

And it is water based paint that will replace all others, and it is uneconomical to consider setting up to spray water based.
