I have a quick question, my car which was resprayed last july is dull, the colour is solid black.

The paintwork is Cellulose, and is the first car I have ever sprayed that hasn't come up to a really mirror shine with a bit of work, now the surface is smooth, although it could do with a good polish to remove some minor scratches that have evolved over winter, it just needs more of a gloss.

The polish I have been using till now has been autoglym, but is there a case for trying a zymol product or another one of these solid carnauba waxes that are available? will they give a glass like layer over the paint?

Lol thanks Glynn and John, I'm pleased it isn't just me that likes to watch forums for opportunities!

I'll be totally honest I won't be employing the services of a professional, I realise I would be getting a better finish but the fact is I can do the job myself so I will do, and as such I won't waste either of your times quoting for work you just won't get because I know how infuriated I get with people asking me to do the same.

However if you think Zymol or another brand of similar polish will solve the problem then I would be very grateful for advice.

Olly.
