Hi all, my Cerbera is currently getting a full respray and I'm looking for tips on what to do with it when I get it home to maximise the paint finish and give it good protection. The respray is getting done at Austec in Sussex and then I need to drive it all the way home to Aberdeen so is likely to be filthy by then. I guess I need to give it a good wash and then treat it with some good wax? I assume there will be no need to polish it, clay bar it or anything as it is a brand new paint job. Oh the paint finish will be at least 3 weeks old as the engine rebuild will take longer than the spraying.
I have also thought about using some of the paint shield film, but not sure if I like the thought of them or the visible lines they leave.

So if anyone has any good suggestions or what would be good products to use let me know.

Alright bro, I thought that paint film was quite god stuff actually, and was a lot thinner than you would have thought. you would only have to put it on the nose and wheel arches to protect from the majority of chips, and know i would rather have a small line rather than stone chips all over my shiny new paintwork.

I'll help you wash it as long as i get a shot of it once you get it back driving
