Right, I've decided I'm going to buy one, I can't shift the swirls from the old Merc.

Who are the best people to buy from?
(I'm aware they're US imports etc.)

I was referring to Richard Porter, author of the satirical website www.sniffpetrol.com, columnist and writer at EVO magazine, contributing writer to the Top Gear television show and also alleged member of PistonHeads.

So not that private really.

As others have said Autopia, and (generally) Screwfix for the transformer and necessary cables etc.

Also look at the Smartool and Biltema polishers as they are cheaper and very capable.

Also it's worth heading off to Detailing World as someone may be in your area who would lend/help you out if it's likely to be a one-off.

You mean the Meguiar's branded version? Or has Porter decided to make their own one Euro compatible/compliant?

It's the "Ultimate Detailing Machine" soon to be available for Autopia in 240v form. Meguiar's are also releasing something similar soon, although the perceived wisdom is that the UDM will be better...

The meguiars one look like its a PC rebranded! The Autopia people will send one over for around £80 the you need to buy heads, pads and a transformer plus an extension cable. All in expect to pay no more than £160. Best money you have ever spent if you like you car to look stunning!
