Hi,

I had some rusty brackets Acid dipped and baked, and they came up very nice.
Should these be treated after this process or just primed then painted.
As I did this but a lot has allready flacked off.

IIRC most acid dippers should be able to apply either an etch primer or an electro plated (passivate?) finish to prevent rusting and give a key for further coatings, inc powder coating

Well they did offer to sandblast them then zinc plating, and then powder coating, but this would have taken 2 weeks, and I did not have the time, so they offered just to acid dip them, and bake them.

They are not going to be seen so its not a big deal if they flake, but would have been nice if they could have a bit of protection.
