Something like Meguiars Scratch X if you plan to tackle it by hand. Assuming it has scratched the top coat (but not enough to feel with a finger nail) it will help. Then wax.
Yeah I tried the clay bar and it just brushed straight pass it and the mark was still there used the polish that came with the bar and still there. Thanks magic I will try something like scratch xClay bars are not, I repeat, NOT, a form of polish or scratch/swirl removal.
They have one purpose and one purpose alone - to remove contaminants in the paint/clearcoat, and stubborn stuff like tar/tree sap/bird crap/insects, where washing and shampoo hasn't.
Once you've clayed a car, the paint should be as smooth as glass, ready for another washing to remove the lube and to prep the panels for deswirling (if needed) or sealant/waxing.
Think of a clay bar as the equivalent of exfoliation for your face - it will not remove scar tissue or fix a cut.

Have recently used a combination of Scratch-X / Autoglym Deep Gloss Shine with some pretty good results think the secret for deeper swirls/marking is to repeat the process two or three times. Out of curiosity
There's a few threads here with further details/choices of polish http://uk-mkvs.net/forums/44/ShowForum.aspx
