Wheel cleaner needed

Just picked up some new wheels that need a bit of a clean can anyone recomment a wheel cleaner.

A couple of squirty bottles of the orangey kitchen cleaner from the supermarket and a hearty scrub will bring most of that off, without being overly acidic, like the alloy wheel cleaners can be. Get on with it

They were delivered earlier today. I have given them a wash and removed most of the mud and loose brake dust, its the really tough baked on stuff I need to lift

Try a Bilt Hamber Clay bar for the stubborn spots but be sure to have gotten the worst off first or it might become a bilt un-economical...

You can use brake cleaner, but you should proably put some sort of polish on there afterwards otherwise the dirt will quickly stick back onto the surface again.
I just use normal car polish on mine after cleaning.

But don't for goodness' sake pay that price for it. 5 litres is (IIRC) under a tenner at Costco...

I bought a pot of Chemical Guys Wheel Guard when I did my last set so im sorted on that front.

Should be fine on the wheels you have shown , not so good on polished and lacquered wheels as its very aggressive.

Had a similarly neglected set of wheels a couple of years ago and Wonder Wheels as first touch was great, needed a couple of applications followed by a little elbow grease with T-Cut and they looked like new.

I've not used that - I've used a few others and the Wonder Wheels was the least aggressive/damaging, and yet seemed to do the best job.

This was on OE paint on BBS and Hartges, and various Jap, OZ, and Speedline wheels. `
