What colour is your car?

I found these write ups by a detailing company helpful when choosing my current cleaning products:

depends if you also want durability with a cold sharp look or a warm wet look to your paint.

I use megs hyper wash. ok it's a bit more than £15 but it can be mixed 400/1 and foam is superb.

a great combo for protection is poorboys nattys paste blue (for darker colours) and then top off with mothers reflections advanced top coat. pb nattys is about £13 a pot and the mothers is £16.

cracking products for the price.

Blimey, where to start?

Firstly, I assume you'll be applying by hand?

IMO You'd do well to collect the Zaino products. I've just bought the Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal to finish up with, but I've heard nothing but good about all of the Zaino stuff.

The Chemical Guys wash will be absolutely fine, it's a decent product, personally I use Chemical Guys Maxi Sudds II or Autoglym Shampoo & Conditioner.

Autoglym Super Resin Polish + Extra Gloss Protection are decent products, and available from Halfords....

Bilt Hamber Auto Wash and Auto Balm, with the Auto Clay if the car is feeling a bit lumpy in places when you run your fingertips over it with clingfilm between them and the paint.
Depending on the paint condition, you may also add AG SRP and a German Applicator to hand remove swirls/light scratches.
If that's a bit too much effort, then Auto Balm will mask them and provide you with a lovely shine, with the added depth/wetness of a wax, but the longevity of a sealant, which it is.
Works lovely on wheels, chrome, black plastic trim, and glass.
Get some 303 Aerospace or Einszett Gumi Pflege for rubber trim/wipers/tyres, and in 303's case, interior trim/dash/leather to prevent UV from fading them out, bringing back some of the colour.
Price isn't really that much of a governor of how good a product is - I'll happily put £15 AB up against £300 waxes.
Zaino is another good on too, but a little on the convoluted side, and expensive when the various stages are added together, and really only comes into its own on pretty much perfect paint. It tends to highlight flaws in your paint, otherwise.
Z-8 works well over AB, and with the hiding aspect of AB, you could get away with it.
