Hand polishing
Discussion
What is the best product to polish a car by hand?
Don't have a polishing machine (yet.. saving up for a Porter Cable
) so looking for the best hand applied polish
Tried the Autoglym paint renovator (think it is called that, has a pink label on the bottle) but didn't get the best results, unless that was my fault in terms of the wrong technique. (with the AG I found there to be some very strange fine, faint lines in the paintwork.. these have since gone after a few washes and polish applications)

For a good all round polish to be completed by hand i would go with Autoglym Super resin polish topped off with Autoglym Extra gloss protection.
This will fill any swirl marks you may have, leave a fresh looking surface and protect it.
Or to step up a notch and i will recommend this untill i am blue in the face Zaino AIO (all in one) this is a awesome product and very easy to apply / remove by hand and will leave your paint looking as fresh and very well protected as it can without being machine polished.

Super resin and Extra gloss protection is what I have been currently using, in stronger sunlight the paintwork still doesn't have the mirror reflection I want, as soon as it is twlight it does though :SThis will fill any swirl marks you may have, leave a fresh looking surface and protect it.

Bilt Hamber auto-balm and then wax the whole car with Collinite 915.
Someone's not been paying enough attention over on DW!AB is not your typical sealant, and BH are cautious about suggesting a carnauba wax over the top as the carrier solvents may affect the durability of the Balm.
Don't need it for looks - AB already has a fair element of wax-like properties, it's only the beading aesthetics that doesn't match a carnauba's - but then all sealants are cursed with that "affliction".
