Hi Guys, I`ve been lurking on here for quite a while and have picked up some great tips from you Professional Detaillers.

I am looking for some advise on cleaning coloured seat belts. My car has coloured belts that have some dark patches where they have rubbed against the seats.

The Driver`s Manual says "use a mild detergent..." But any professional tips on which one to use and the best way to apply?

Thanks in advance...

Thanks Matthew, which of the Poorboys products would best suit and what does APC stand for?

apc is all purpose cleaner. the poorboys comes in smaller bottles than the megs. i prefer the poorboys. i use it for cleaning all interior parts. you can water it down if you want. can also be used for cleaning engine bays and all sorts, cracking product.

www.cleanyourcar.co.uk is one of many suppliers of car detailing chemicals etc.

Any decent All Purpose Cleaner will do....mix with water 8 parts water, 1 part APC and with a cloth gently rub away the dirt. Wipe dry with a separate cloth and the belts should look like new.

there's all sorts of places to order it from. www.polishedbliss.co.uk or www.elitecarcare.co.uk are places that i use. i was supplying the products as well as doing the detailing but i've stopped now. although i still have access to ordering in bulk quantities. biggrin

If it's only for your seatbelts, buy some Tesco Daisy stuff, that's good for the money, and does the same job. Plus it's drit cheap.
